#LunchtimeListens 023: Steam Stock

Darryl Taylor (aka Steam Stock) began DJing spinning funk, soul and reggae with Aylesbury collectives Zephyr Sounds and the Dub Bunnies but in recent years has been increasingly obsessed with records (45s to be precise) from the 50's and early 60's. Red hot rhythm & blues, ska, exotica, calypso and crazed frat party rockers are what floats his boat these days and he shares his latest finds on his monthly radio show, Steam's Jukebox Shuffle, on radiocore.org and at various shindigs here and there.

For his LunchtimeListens session, Darryl pulled out a mix of classic cuts (by the likes of Big Mama Thornton, Nina Simone, Louis Jordan, The Champs and The Coasters) and a whole bunch of lesser known rhythm'n'blues numbers. Nothing but good vibrations!
